This tiny pool along side a busy street was up and running for just about forever and a day. There were rumors of $200 tickets being given out but that was likely just subterfuge as nobody seemed to actually know anyone personally who had gotten a ticket. The pool was in a motel that was being torn down. Seems like that was going around this summer. One interesting feature aboutthis pool was the fake jewels embedded in the surface. It looked like it would have been really sticky but it wasn't, not that I hit much coping. By the time I got there there were already a few pieces of coping missing, and I heard they went pretty fast. It was pretty tight, especially in the deep end. The BMX contigent was hitting it hard. I was surprised they were able to ride it because it seemd like there was barely room enough for them to turn around withinthe radius of the deep end, but they could. They even managed to roll into the shallow by carving the tranny when it looked like an acid drop would be the only option. I only skated it once (cause I suck) but I sat on these pictures for a long time. Danimal kept going by andwhile they detsroyed the motel around it and even the bushes partially blocking the street view (unless you stood up), they left the pool until the very last moment. By the time it was finally gone I had kind of forgotten about these pictures and ended up sitting on them some more. As usual, I have problems editing myself so there are too many. Thanks to extra pictures from Danimal and Mark Conahan.
I'm trying a differnt approach to these thumbnails for the sake of uniformity and saving a little production time. Sometimes they are close to full frames of the enlarged versions, sometimes they just highlight interesting parts. Please let me know in the comments how you think it works out.
